så här vackert såg det ut på stora fältet idag. översta bilden är räcket över diket och nertill är ett gräs strån. allt är täckt med stor is kristaller, det är verkligen "julpynt" överallt. jag har david och christian kvar tills på onsdag och vi har haft jättekul. christian var rädd för hundar när han kom hit men det försvann ganska fort. han tycker det är roligt med alla djur. vi har en brun tacka som är som en hund när det gäller barnen. christian sitter på hennes rygg och hon bara står som en gammal häst. det känns att jag fyllde 54 i lördags. det går inte att köra barnvagn här och jag har burit christian på ryggen i en barnstol. han, påklädd och stolen väger drygt 12 kg och det är MYCKET jobbigt när vi går på promenad i 1 timme över stora fältet mm. jag sover ganska lätt på natten pga barnen och det är passning hela dagen med den minsta. jag har inte satt upp julgran, pynt eller nåt annat vad det gäller jul. jag orkar helt enkelt inte. jag ska köpa lite julmat på onsdag och det blir noll julklappar också. det är bara skönt att komma förbi jul/nyår och se fram emot våren. jag har inte ens haft tid att köra hund. t.o.m don är ganska spralig nu.

the 2 photos were taken down on the large field which is covered in very large ice crystals. it,s really beautiful. it's been really cold, approx -10 and the moisture has turned into ice. the whole field has been decorated for christmas.

i've had the grandchildren here for more than a week and it's taking it's toll. i'm absolutely knackered!!! being 25 or 54 with 2 young kids is a big difference. as it's too difficult to push a pushchair around the farm i've been using a backpack to cart christian all over the place. with him, clothes and the backpack it's about 12 kgs and we have hills all over the place. quite hard work i can tell you. i have to keep my eye on the kids the whole time, it would be terrible if anything happened while i was looking after them.

we don't have any christmas decorations, no tree and there won't be any presents either. i'm just too tired. i haven't done anything with the dogs for ages, liz having the pups and now the grandkids. i can't wait for the spring.

when the kids go back home on wednesday i'll have a good cleanup and then get down to officework. i haven't been able to do any of that while the kids have been here either. well now moaning minnie has said her piece and i'm going to rub some painkilling gel into my shoulders and back and relax on the soffa and watch the dog whisperer
